Thomas Bade

For Thomas Bade, a graduate social pedagogue, social design and social entrepreneurship are the key elements of universal design. For 15 years he has been working to achieve the goal of anchoring Universal Design in business, science and society. A further focus is the networking of digitalisation with universal design in the Health&Care segment.

Thomas Bade is co-founder of universal design e.V., signatory of the Weimar Declaration, managing director of the non-profit organisation Universal Design Forum e.V., member of the board of directors at the German Design Day and lecturer for industrial design at the Technical University of Munich. Since July 2016 he has also been Managing Director of the Institute for Universal Design in Munich.
