Introduction

IAUD would like to introduce this easy way to make a mask with your handkerchief or hand towel as one of our contribution to prevent from the spread of the infectious disease with COVID-19 new coronavirus.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who gave us video messages to the 7th International Conference for Universal Design in Bangkok 2019, has announced that the Japanese government will distribute two cloth masks to every household in the nation.

He recommends wearing cloth masks, as it is reusable. We can wash them and use them many times, in other words, it is sustainable. It has also been recognized that it has an effect on slowing the spread of COVID-19, although it does not have COVID-19-preventing effects, according to CDC*. It helps people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.

Step 1. Fold the handkerchief in three. Fold the top and the bottom.
Paso 1.　Doblar el pañuelo＊ en tres. Doblar la parte de arriba y abajo.
*Se pueden reemplazar por un pedazo de tela de 50×50 cm

Step 2. Make a tuck in the middle. Put the rubber strings in both sides.
Paso 2.　Hacer un pliegue en el medio. Colocar las cuerdas de goma en ambos lados.

Step 3. Fold it in three again. This time, please fold the right side and the left.
Paso 3.　Doblar en tres de nuevo. Esta vez doblar el lado derecho y el izquierdo.
