Invited Speakers

Osuke Komazawa is the Special Advisor to the President for Healthcare and Long-term Care Policy for Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia or ERIA. He is in charge of Healthcare Unit of ERIA which was established in 2017, in response to Asia Health and Wellbeing Initiative of Japanese Government which is aiming for creating vibrant and healthy societies where people can enjoy long and productive lives. Since his appointment to ERIA, he has launched some research projects, such as longitudinal survey of aging and health in several countries in Southeast Asia, development of career path for long-term care personnel who returned from abroad to home countries, etc. He has the background of ENT surgeon and obtained PhD in Medical Science in 2013 from Nagasaki University. His dissertation for PhD discussed the community effect of long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets based on the data collected through a health and demographic surveillance system which was established by Nagasaki University in rural Kenya.
