UD2019 Conference Registration

Early-Bird or Advance Registrations is recommended to avoid heavy congestion on conference day.

• Deadline for Early-bird Registration is 12:00 JST on January 31, 2019.
  Note: Deadline for Early-bird Registration of Regular Participants is 12:00 JST on December 31, 2018
• Deadline for Advance Registration is 12:00 JST on February 15, 2019.
• Those who did not register until that dates are requested to register on the Conference Day. Credit card and cash payments (Japanese yen only) are acceptable. Check, bank draft and traveler's check payments are not acceptable.
• Please send e-mail when you found any difficulties in Registration Form.

Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided for the Opening Ceremony, Symposium, speeches, sessions and seminars. In addition, captioning service and Japanese sign language translation will be provided. Please check the appropriate box for such requests.

Upon request at the time of registration, wheelchairs and nursery will be provided.

Please describe other requests, if any, at the time of registration. All requests are not necessarily guaranteed.

Either credit card or bank transfer payment is acceptable.

• The registration will complete when your payment was confirmed by Secretariat. Unless confirmed, your registration is null and void.
• Checks, bank drafts and traveler's checks are not acceptable.
• Registration fee is applied based on the payment date, instead of date of registration. If found the shortage, the balance will be charged.

• Due date for early-bird registration payment is January 31, 2019 at 12:00 JST (December 31, 2018 at 12:00 JST for Regular Participants). Unless paid by such date, balance will be charged.
• Deadline for bank transfer payment is February 22 (12:00 JST), 2019. In case Secretariat could not confirm your payment until that date, your registration is null and void.
• Please bear all costs incurred in regard to transfer payment.
• Please note that you write your registration ID just in front of your name in remittance form. Both participant and payer's names should be the same. For plural payments in a form, please describe registration ID of all participants. For any inquiries regarding bank remittance, please send e-mail or fax to Secretariat.

Receipt

• Only when requested by Early-Bird and Advance Registrants who paid the fee, the receipt will be issued by reception desk. Please check the appropriate box.

■Invoice

• Secretariat will not issue the invoice, except as expressly noted.

Registrants who are going to cancel or alter are requested to process by log-in with your registration ID and e-mail address. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy for refund below.

*For those who paid by credit card, please note that refund is not applied after the date of cancellation/alteration period.

*Those who paid via bank remittance and who are going to cancel or alter the registration are required to send e-mail or fax to Secretariat.

1. International Association of Universal Design (hereinafter the IAUD) reserves the right to cancel or postpone “The 7th International Conference for Universal Design in Bangkok 2019” (hereinafter ICUD2019) or to change the schedule or the venue without prior notice, due to the act of God or on the occurrence of any event of force majeure.
2. In the case of any such contingency happening before the opening day, the IAUD shall refund any registration fees it will have received before the contingency, less related costs. In the case where the IAUD should be preparing delivery of electronics proceedings to each applicant who has already paid a registration fee before the contingency, the fee less costs of proceedings production, packing and shipping shall be refunded.
3. Any air fares, accommodation fees, and other expenses paid by a registered participant shall not be compensated by the IAUD but shall be subject to an agreement between the registered participant and businesses in charge.
4. In such a contingency stated above in (1.)
   – If it happens during the meeting: the IAUD shall not refund any registration fees.
   – If it happens before the opening causing the IAUD to be unable to hold ICUD2019, it shall refund registration fee in principle.
   However, when postponement, change in ICUD2019 duration and/or change of the venue cause applicants to be unable to participate in the conference, the IAUD shall refund any registration fee only to such an applicant who desires a refund.
5. No damages or compensation, except the refunding of registration fees as stated above in (2), shall be recovered from the IAUD
