Isamu Yoneyama

Architectural historian / Research fellow at Edo-Tokyo Museum: Japan
Dr. Yoneyama was born in Tokyo in 1965 and completed doctoral program in Faculty of Science and Engineering of Waseda University. His major field is history of modern and contemporary architectures, and architecture and urban history of Edo-Tokyo.
He is the author of “Map of architectures in Tokyo guided by historical maps“ (X-Knowledge Co., Ltd.), “Art of appreciation of famous residences by Isamu Yoneyama” (TOTO Publishing), “Kenchiku Exercise” (X-Knowledge Co., Ltd.),“Compendium of modern Japanese architectures in Eastern Japan”, “Ibid. in Western Japan” (Editor) (KODANSHA Ltd.) and so on.
He was given “The Prize of AIJ for Education (Educational contribution)” by Architectural Institute of Japan (2013), “Special award of JIA Golden Cubes Awards” by The Japan Institute of Architects (2011) and “Waseda Architecture Special Contribution Award” (2009).
