Application for the use of a wheelchair in advance
Instructions for electric wheelchair users
- “Handle-type electric wheelchairs” are not allowed on board Shinkansen and express trains, including Kanku Express “Haruka,” and other decker trains.
If you apply for the use of a wheelchair to the station where you plan to take a train at least two days prior to getting on the train, you will receive assistance from a station employee.
The Shinkansen up-platform (for Tokyo) has no elevator. You should apply for the use of a wheelchair
