Yoshiyuki Wada

Professor, Nagoya University of Arts: Japan


Born in 1950.
Graduated from Nagoya University of the Arts ,Craft Industry Design .

In Nagoya Handy Cap Association, we participate in the design team such as making towns that correspond to wheelchairs, consideration for public transportation, improvement of living environment, and continue activities for 8 years.

After serving as a college assistant of Nagoya University of the Arts, during 1983 -1984 he studied in Royal College of Art School of Industrial Design U.K.

In 1989 Acted as ICSID World Design Conference Nagoya Steering Committee.

Invited Professor Victor Papanek at the conference section, the world's student presentation booth, and operated a work review committee of "Japanese designer who is designing for handicap people".

During 1990-1992 Invited Professor Victor Papanek as a special visiting professor at Nagoya University of Arts, holding a lecture on themes such as "What can be done with the power of design to the global environment?" "Design approach to the third world".
Since 1994 Patricia Moore, Kenneth Grange, James Dyson, Naoto Fukasawa and Paul Priestman invited lecture, planning and operation of workshop.

During 1991 -1995 Wheelchair Competition Jury Member

During 1995 -2011 Design Planning and management committee of International Design Competition Nagoya DO. Award recipient and joint workshop director of design college students in Nagoya area.

During 2011- 2016 Currently Professor of Graduate School of Design, Nagoya University of Arts. Activities at Overseas Design Network, We are developing industry collaborative design project.

He is also Design Educator and Industrial Designer.
