Hiroyasu Aruga

In 1991 after graduating from Graduate School of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, he joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.

In the beginning he took charged in design of passenger ships, ferries, Japan Coast Guard, special ships and after that he was responsible for product design of MHI products.

He had participated in MRJ project from 2003. He designed styling design, coloring design, basic layout of the cabin, windows, ceiling panels, luggage, lights, sheets, carpets, galley, lavatories etc.
In addition, he was charged in design of various layout of flight deck and operation equipment (control wheel, lever related, pedal).
He was also responsible for all designs related to MRJ, such as pictogram, placard design, development of MRJ stencil font, branding, exhibition planning and management cooperation.

Currently he is working on a variety of design related issues such as design support for defense related, exhibition and space design like a showrooms, product branding (naming and designing of logo marks) and illustration.
