After graduating from university and worked for a trading company, etc., Yamane had been a full-time housewife for quite a long time. She joined Japan Housewives’ Association, which was established in 1948 for the realization of a secure and safe society with “rice paddle and apron” as logo in 1998, and has been assuming office as Vice President since 2005. She has been conducting various activities by gathering opinions of citizens and consumers to reflect them into politics and society. Mother of two sons and a daughter. Serves on Policy Assessment Advisory Board of Ministry of Justice, Food Safety Commission Planning Task Force, NHK Central Program Examination Board, etc.
