Jane is the Secretary General, International Federation on Ageing and brings to this position over 25years experience in the health, community care, disability and aged care sectors in Australia and overseas. Adjunct research fellowships at Australian Universities serve to strengthen her study of international health and ageing in Australia and overseas.


Dr. Barratt is a Churchill Fellow, has held executive positions on government and non-government committees with many years experience in organizational management, staff development and the analysis of operations leading to improvement in program efficiencies and client outcomes. She has a strong commitment to strengthening the relationships between government, NGOs, academia and the private sector toward improving the quality of life of older people. This is best exemplified in her work in facilitating policy analysis and change at national and international venues. The impact of environments on the human spirit, capacity and capability is at the heart of the way Jane lives her life and her work.
