Passport and Visa 

Anyone entering Japan must have a valid passport. In addition, persons coming from certain countries must have a visa issued by the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in their country. Please consult your local Japanese Embassy or Consulate as to whether or not a visa is required. It can sometimes take more than a month to obtain a visa, so please plan in advance if you need a visa to enter Japan.

There is no system by which a proxy can carry out the application procedures in Japan.

The Secretariat can issue a letter of invitation and necessary documents upon request to those who have completed registration and need a visa.

Notes:
  1. Registration and payment must be completed before a letter of invitation can be issued. 
  2. The letter of invitation is issued to assist participants with travel arrangements, and it does not imply a commitment to provide any financial support. 
  3. For visa application status, please directly contact the diplomatic mission to which you apply for your visa. 
  4. Those who do not fly directly to Japan may need a transit visa in some countries to continue traveling.

Insurance

The organizing committee assumes no responsibility for accidents or damage to the private property of participants. Please make your own arrangements for health insurance and any other necessary insurance.
