Information on UD2010 Conference Registration

The 3rd International Conference for Universal Design in HAMAMATSU 2010 participants are required to register as either Regular Participant (for entire programs) or One-day Participant.


Registration Fees

  • Advance Registration was closed on Octber 22(12:00noon JST).
  • Early-Bird Registration was closed on July 30(15:00 JST).

  • Student rates are applied for students at high schools, universities, graduate schools, technical colleges, professional schools and other schools. The rates for Advance Registration and Registration on Conference Day are the same.
    Student registrants are required to present school ID at reception desk. Unless presented, he/she is requested to pay Regular Participant fee.
  • Family member under 15 who accompanys the Delegate is free.

* Advance registration is required for Opening Ceremony, Symposium, Welcome Reception and Closing Reception to be held on October 30th, in consideration of limited hall capacity. Please apply at the time of registration.

* Proceedings CD-ROM is available at extra fee.

* Conference registration is unnecessary for exhibition site tour. Admission is free.



Registration

Early-Bird or Advance Registrations is recommended to avoid heavy congestion on conference day.


Method of Registration

Please access to Conference Registration Form.

  • Deadline for Early-bird Registration is 15:00 JST on July 30, 2010.
  • Deadline for Advance Registration is 12:00 noon JST on October 22, 2010.
  • Those who did not register until that dates are requested to register on the Conference Day. Credit card and cash payments (Japanese yen only) are acceptable. Check, bank draft and traveler's check payments are not acceptable.
  • Please send e-mail when you found any difficulties in Registration Form.


Information Services and Requests to Secretariat

Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided for the Opening Ceremony, Symposium, speeches, sessions and seminars. In addition, captioning service and Japanese sign language translation will be provided. Please check the appropriate box for such requests.

Upon request at the time of registration, wheelchairs and nursery will be provided.

Please describe other requests, if any, at the time of registration. All requests are not necessarily guaranteed.


Payment Method

Either credit card or bank transfer payment is acceptable.

  • The registration will complete when your payment was confirmed by Secretariat. Unless confirmed, your registration is null and void.
  • Checks, bank drafts and traveler's checks are not acceptable.
  • Registration fee is applied based on the payment date, instead of date of registration. If found the shortage, the balance will be charged.

  • Due date for early-bird registration payment is July 30 (15:00 JST) . Unless paid by such date, balance will be charged.
  • Deadline for bank transfer payment is October 22, 2010. In case Secretariat could not confirm your payment until that date, your registration is null and void.
  • Please bear all costs incurred in regard to transfer payment.
  • Please note that you write your registration ID just in front of your name in remittance form. Both participant and payer's names should be the same. For plural payments in a form, please describe registration ID of all participants. For any inquiries regarding bank remittance, please send e-mail or fax to Secretariat.

Receipt and Invoice

Receipt

  • Only when requested by Early-Bird and Advance Registrants who paid the fee, the receipt will be issued by reception desk. Please check the appropriate box.

  • Secretariat will not issue the invoice, except as expressly noted.

Cancellation/Alteration of Registration

Registrants who are going to cancel or alter are requested to process by log-in with your registration ID and e-mail address. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy for refund below.


For those who paid by Credit Card

Term Cancellation Alteration of Registration
On or before July 30, 2010 at 15:00 JST The amount paid is refundable in full. Alteration is acceptable.
July 30 at 15:00 JST through September 30 In case the months of payment and cancellation are the same, the amount paid is refundable in full. In case the months of payment and alteration are the same, alteration is acceptable.
October 1and thereafter Not refundable. Alteration is not acceptable.

*For those who paid by credit card, please note that refund is not applied after the date of cancellation/alteration period.


For those who paid by bank transfer

Term Cancellation Alteration of Registration
On or before July 30, 2010 at 15:00 JST The amount paid excluding handling charge is refundable Alteration is acceptable.
July 30 at 15:00 JST through September 30 50% of the amount paid excluding handling charge is refundable. Alteration is not acceptable.

*Those who paid via bank remittance and who are going to cancel or alter the registration are required to send e-mail or fax to Secretariat.
