Regular Participant

Delegates can participate in the entire conference period. Authors of papers presented at the conference are required to register as regular participants.

Personal Attendant

JPY 25,000

One delegate can accompany one personal attendant.

Accompanying Person

JPY 25,000

Accompanying person is limited to spouse or family member. In case that a personal attendant is a delegate's family member, please apply as a personal attendant.

Free

Accompanying family members age 15 and under.

One-day Participant

This category is limited to one-day participation on Oct. 23 (Mon.), Oct. 24 (Tues.), Oct. 25 (Wed.), or Oct. 26 (Thurs.).

One personal attendant can register on the same day as an accompanying delegate.

Student - Regular Participant

University/college and graduate school students are eligible for this category.

One personal attendant can register on the same day as an accompanying delegate.

*The number of attendees at the Opening Ceremony, Symposium and Welcome Reception is limited, in consideration of the hall capacity. Registration is now closed.


*Program & Proceedings (on CD-ROM) will be sold for JPY 10,000 at the conference site.
*Please note that the Program & Proceedings (on CD-ROM) or other materials relating to the Conference are not included in the fee for One-Day Participants, Personal Attendants or Accompanying Persons.

Information Service for Participants / Requests of the Secretariat

Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided at the Opening Ceremony, Symposium and lectures given at the conference.


If you have any requests of the conference's information service, please contact to secretariat.


As not all the facilities of the conference site are barrier-free, the following participants are requested to secretariat:

  • Participant with visual difficulty will attend the conference without an accompanying personal attendant.
  • Participant will use a wheelchair.
  • Others (*Closed applications for child care.)


Please note that the secretariat may not always be able to satisfy your request, including that pertaining to information service.




Others

  • University/college and graduate school students are eligible for student registration fees. Please bring your student identification card.
  • Participation in the conference is free of charge for those accompanying family members who are age 15 and under.
  • Deadline for Advance Registration: October 15, 2006 (12:00 noon, Japan time)
  • Those who miss the above deadline for Advance Registration are asked to register on-site. Please pay your registration fee in cash (Japanese yen) or by credit card. Personal checks and traveler’s checks will not be accepted.

How to Make Payment

  • Advance Registration will only be regarded as complete when the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative confirms that the necessary payment has been made. (Application for Advance Registration will be canceled if the necessary payment is not made.)
  • Checks and bank drafts (B/D) will not be accepted.
  • Registration fees are determined by the date of payment, as shown below. You will be asked to remit the difference if the amount paid to our account is less than the fee corresponding to your payment date.

  • We accept VISA, MasterCard, JCB and American Express.
  • No commission is required for the credit card payment, except for the refund by cancellation.

  • Deadline for bank transfer: October 15, 2006
  • Please refrain from making payments via bank transfer starting from October 16, as the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative may not be able to confirm such payments.
  • Participants are asked to pay all the fees necessary for the bank transfer.
  • At the time of payment via bank transfer, please be sure to type in your Registration ID before your name. Also, please ensure that the payer’s name and participant’s name are one and the same. In the case of lump-sum payment of fees of more than one (1) participant, please enter the Registration IDs of all participants concerned. If it is impossible to enter all Registration IDs, please inform the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative by fax or e-mail of the Registration IDs of all participants concerned.


Receipt

  • The Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative will send a receipt and registration card to those who have completed Advance Registration and payment (around the beginning of October.) Please be sure to bring the registration card to the conference. Those who have completed Advance Registration (and payment) but have not received the registration card by October 15, 2006 are requested to contact the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative shown below.

Note: To those who have applied for Advance Registration between October 1 and October 15, the registration card may not be sent by post. Instead, an alternative document functioning as a registration card will be sent by means other than postal mail.



Bill

  • We will not issue bills. However, if you need a bill due to circumstances of the organization to which you belong, please contact the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative below with your Registration ID.


Cancellation

  • Those who wish to cancel their application/registration are asked to contact the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative in writing. Please remember that we accept cancellation only in written form (by fax or e-mail).
  • To those who inform the Conference Registration & Full Paper Reception Representative of their cancellation by September 30, 2006, the following percentages of amounts paid will be refunded after the conference. (Service charges will be subtracted from the sum to be refunded.)

    100 % of the amount paid
    (excluding service charges)

    Cancellation from August 1 to September 30:

    50 %
    (excluding service charges)

    Cancellation from October 1:

    No refund
